With a dedicated following at his two Tokyo locations, Orkin returned to New York City to open his first restaurant on the Lower East Side, with the intent of bringing the same authentic and highly imaginative noodle-craft to his hometown. Ivan Ramen proudly uses only the freshest ingredients, cooked slow and steady, to ensure each slurp is full of flavor. Even the noodles are hand-made in the shop itself, because, "After all, we are a noodle shop and I never did like the idea of putting someone else's noodles in my soup." Enthusiastic slurping is not only tolerated, but encouraged for the most genuine experience possible.
